Baptism 101 for Young Believers

For elementary aged children, the Baptism 101 class is designed to be fun and informative while showing what Baptism represents and what it means to have Jesus as Lord and Savior. Ladies, you still have time to register for this year’s very special Women’s Retreat featuring Kathy Troccoli. Kathy (an award-winning singer, songwriter, speaker, and author of numerous books) will present a concert on Friday, September 17, and will speak at both main sessions on Saturday, September 18. Online registration will be available through September 10th and the cost is $30. After September 10, only at the door registration will be available for $40.

Cedar Ridge Groups Serve at the Food Bank

Several CRCC groups have recently served in various shifts at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. One volunteer reported that this was “a very fulfilling experience where everyone worked together for a worthwhile cause”.

The Food Bank recently received a 60 semi-truck shipment of food made possible by a federal grant. Volunteers are needed to help sort and load the food into 58,000 boxes which must be delivered by September 30th.

Don’t miss this great opportunity for your family or Journey Group to serve this summer. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Saturday for people 12 years and older. AWANA Starts September 8 – Sapulpa Campus

Did you know that Oklahoma ranks 4th in the US in the number of hungry families? Did you know that one in five children in Eastern Oklahoma are in danger of going to bed each night hungry? Organizations like Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma are helping to combat this hunger crisis in our state.

You may have read in a Tulsa World article (June 20th issue) that the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma recently received a 60 semi-truck shipment of food made possible by a federal grant. The Food Bank currently needs volunteers to help box the food into 58,000 boxes. These boxes will provide food to 58,000 hungry families in a 24 county region in Eastern Oklahoma. If the food is not distributed by September 30, the Food Bank will have to pay for the transportation costs that are now covered by the grant.

This would be a great opportunity for your Journey Group to go and serve this summer. Kingdom Kids Preschool

Enrollment for the 2010-2011 school year for CRCC’s Kingdom Kids Preschool (formerly Mom’s Day Out) will begin March 15th. The Preschool runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Children ages 19 months – 4 years can register for one of the following options:

2 days per week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) – $115/month
3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) – $160/month
